Role
As the successful candidate, your role will be to maintain a counselling caseload of women with complex needs such as DFV, AOD and mental health. Where required you will plan an evaluate therapeutic groups, and support other staff in a clinical sense.

Criteria
As the successful candidate, you will: 
  • Degree level qualifications in Counselling, Psychology, social work or related field 
  • Extensive counselling experience working with people that have experienced significant trauma and disadvantage
  • Well-developed communication and teamwork skills
  • A driver license is essential, pool cars are available

Therapeutic Specialist – OT

Type: Permanent, Full Time (may be some opportunity for PT).
Location: Canberra Region
Salary: $92 – 105K (pending experience) + Super + Salary Packaging

Role
This position is responsible for guiding and supporting carer and staff interactions with children and young people in OOHC care, conducting assessments, developing behaviour support plans, therapeutic treatment plans and leading reflective practice to support carers and staff. you will ensure appropriate assessments procedures, risk assessment and therapeutic planning processes and outcome measurements and undertaken for each child.  
 
Candidate
  • Must be a registered Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in completing assessments for young people.
  • Experience working with young people with challenging behaviors (ideally some Child Protection/OOHC experience)
  • Driver license

Type: Senior Full Time role OT (Part Time considered)
Location: South West Sydney (based in the Camden/Campbelltown region)
Remuneration$90 – 110K + bonuses (salary will be based on experience and open to negotiation).

Role

You will be required to travel to clients homes/aged care facilities and day programs (throughout Southwest Sydney and the Illawarra region), as part of a multidisciplinary team of practitioners, to improve outcomes for disadvantaged people. Some of the duties you will perform are:
 

  • Aged Care Assessments
  • NDIS Functional Assessments
  • ADL/ Functional Assessments for SIRA and CTP
  • SIL/ SDA Assessments
  • Prescription of a range of equipment
  • Minor and major home modifications.

 
As the senior OT you will often have the more complex cases. You can choose to provide supervision to more junior staff, or if that is not your thing, you won’t have to!
 
Criteria

  • AHPRA registration.
  • Experience supporting people with disabilities and those with complex needs.
  • Understanding of NDIS plans.
  • Drivers licence and own vehicle – you will be required to use your own vehicle and receive a generous KM allowance.

Ideally you will have worked in community care nursing prior however very open to Registered Nurses who may approach this role from residential aged care or perhaps an acute hospital setting where you have spent time developing your clinical skills. Ideally you will have good knowledge and experience around wound care management.
  
The Person

  • AHPRA Registered Nurse
  • Current clinical experience ideally with good knowledge and experience around wound care management
  • Passionate about delivering quality and person-centred care service and possess natural leadership skills
  • Prior experience and knowledge in community nursing will be very highly regarded however further mentoring and support will be provided if you are new to HCP model.
