Type: Permanent positions (multiple roles available). May be some casual opportunities for the right candidates.
Location: Wagga Wagga region
Remuneration: Hourly rate in the range of $36-38.5 per hour plus additional penalty rates + super + salary packaging. Full leave entitlements and good earning potential (some youth workers make close to 100k per year!).

Role
Supporting the House Manager in the coordination of day-to-day operations, you will incorporate a trauma informed therapeutic framework into supporting young people with high and complex needs in residential care. In this role, you will be providing young people with consistency, support and safety, using individual case plans. The purpose of this role to support young people to achieve positive outcomes in their education, physical and mental health.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma level qualifications in a welfare related field*
- Demonstrated understanding of child protection and an understanding of statutory child protection frameworks.
- Flexibility – The role will follow a roster so you could be required to work day, nights and weekends shifts.
- Experience working with children/young people with challenging behaviors.
- Drivers licence.
*Studying a relevant Diploma/Degree with extensive experience may be considered.

In return you will be offered an hourly rate bin the region of $36-38.5 per hour, plus additional penalty rates + super + the benefits of salary packaging associated for working with a NFP organisation.
