Welfare Recruitment Solutions have been approached by a leading women’s support service provider in ACT to assist in the recruitment of a Day Program Facilitator for their AOD support service that supports women on a full time permanent basis.
Role
As the successful candidate, your role will be to assist in the facilitation of a psycho-educational group. You will facilitate group therapy sessions, group based interventions to reduce or cease participants AOD use. You will assist participants to establish healthier relationships and lifestyles. Most of the content is already in place as this is an established program so we’re really looking for someone who can facilitate it, as well as updating this periodically.
As the successful candidate, you will:
- Degree level qualifications in Counselling, Psychology, social work or related field
- Extensive counselling experience working with people that have experienced significant trauma and disadvantage
- Experience facilitating group sessions with participants with trauma backgrounds
- Well-developed communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working in AOD would be highly regarded but not essential but willingness to develop skills in this area is essential
In return, you will be offered a base salary of $90-102k + Super + the benefits of salary packaging.
