The Opportunity
Welfare Recruitment Solutions have partnered with a highly respected industry leader to assist in the recruitment of Dementia Specialists in building further knowledge and insight in understanding responsive behaviours in persons living with dementia. The role could be full time or 4 days/week, Monday-Friday.

The Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available in the Central Coast region to play a pivotal role in building capacity and enabling carers to better manage and respond to concerning behaviours in persons living with dementia.
This is a great opportunity to both empower and support carers in furthering their knowledge that will allow them to both recognise and implement their own person centred best practice behavioural management strategies.

The Candidate
You will have a background in aged care and looking for an opportunity to specialise in dementia education. You are passionate about person centred approach in dementia care and would thrive in a role knowing that you are furthering knowledge and insight in understanding responsive behaviours that will lead to higher quality care. You will have:
- Prior experience as an Educator/Trainer/Teacher along with skills in developing learning resources
- Natural leadership, strong communication and mentoring skills
- Highly empathetic and warm nature who can build rapport with ease
If you currently hold Certificate IV TAE40116 or have prior TAE40110 qualifications these will be highly desirable along with any prior experience providing dementia education or aged care training. In addition, current AHPRA registration is also highly desirable however not essential.
