About the Role:
We’re seeking passionate Dementia Consultants who are ready to drive positive change by combining empathy, creativity, and clinical skills to solve problems.
You’ll be part of a team dedicated to applying expertise in assessment and biopsychosocial approaches to implement innovative, non-pharmacological strategies that prevent, minimise, or respond to behavioural changes related to dementia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support families, caregivers, and clinical staff in understanding the unique impact of dementia on individuals.
- Equip carers and clinicians with the tools they need to manage behaviour changes through modelling, coaching, and behaviour support planning.
- Conduct thorough assessments to understand each person’s dementia journey and provide evidence-based recommendations that enhance their quality of life.
- Collaborate with the broader team to build capacity across home and aged care sectors.
- Contribute to research and projects that meet the evolving needs of the dementia care sector.
- Work autonomously and as part of a team to deliver high-quality support and innovative care solutions.
What We Need from You:
- Relevant qualifications in Allied Health, Nursing, Aged Care, or Mental Health.
- Further education or ongoing training in Dementia Care, Gerontology, or Health & Aging is highly desirable.
- Expertise in supporting people living with dementia within Australian residential and community aged care settings.
- Proficiency in managing Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) and identifying triggers and unmet needs.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- A current Australian driver’s license and a willingness to travel regionally as needed.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for improving quality of life for those living with dementia.

Join Us
This role is offered on a Fixed Term Full-Time Contract until June 2026, with the possibility of extension. All short-listed applicants will undergo a criminal record check and must provide evidence of COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations.
