The Client:
Welfare Recruitment Solutions have been approached by an industry leading not-for-profit to find a Case Manager for their refuge accommodation service catering for women and children on a permanent full time basis in Sydney’s inner West. The organisation provide comprehensive support and training to staff including funding external supervision and providing an annual allowance for training and development.
The Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for the provision of case management for clients who have generally experienced domestic violence, who are homeless and/or at risk of systemic disadvantage. You will proactively and resourcefully support clients facing unique challenges by undertaking initial assessments, as well as coordinating longer term case plans. You will be motivated to create meaningful relationships and encourage positive changes in those you work alongside.
The Successful Candidate:
In order to be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Qualifications in a social welfare related field
- Case management experience working with women and children escaping domestic and family violence, homelessness and other related complex needs
- Experience negotiating and advocating with relevant government systems including housing, immigration, mental health, AOD, Centrelink etc
- Experience working within a trauma-informed framework with clients with complex needs
- Current WWCC, drivers licence

In return you will be offered pay in line with level 4 of the SCHADS award ($74 – $80k) + super + the benefits of salary packaging associated for working with a Not-for-profit organisation. The exact salary is to be negotiated on dependent upon experience and qualifications.
