Type: Part time (4 days a week)
Location: Southern Sydney.
Salary: Level 4 of the SCHADS award ($74k) + super
Do you have case work experience and have a passion to support families that are experiencing difficulties in their lives? Welfare Recruitment Solutions have been approached by a not-for-profit organisation to assist in the recruitment of a Aboriginal Child and Family Specialist for their Aboriginal family worker support program. This is a part time (4-day week) position. Based in southern Sydney.
The Role:
In this position, you will be providing culturally supportive child focused, child and family case work to Aboriginal families that are experiencing difficulties in their lives. You will undertake initial client assessments to families referred to the program, deliver group programs to children and families, draw upon cultural knowledge to help inform service and delivery and follow mandatory child protection guidelines to report risk of significant harm if necessary.
The Successful Candidate:
In order to be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- To identify as Aboriginal
- Qualifications in a social welfare related field
- Demonstrated experience providing case work support to children and families
- Experience working within a trauma-informed framework with clients with complex needs
- Current WWCC

In return you will be offered pay in line with level 4 of the SCHADS award ($74k – pro rata) + super + the benefits of salary packaging associated for working with a Not-for-profit organisation.
