The Opportunity:
Welfare Recruitment Solutions, in collaboration with a renowned industry leader, seeks passionate Dementia Specialists/Consultants who are ready to drive positive change by combining empathy, creativity, and clinical skills to solve problems.
You’ll be part of a team dedicated to applying expertise in assessment and biopsychosocial approaches to implement innovative, non-pharmacological strategies that prevent, minimise, or respond to behavioural changes related to dementia.
The Role:
As a Dementia Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving positive change for individuals living with dementia.
Utilising your extensive knowledge and expertise, you’ll conduct thorough face-to-face assessments to understand each person’s unique dementia journey and identify factors contributing to behavioural changes.
Your recommendations and interventions will advocate for improved quality of life and ensure responsive care services tailored to individual needs.
While assessments will primarily be conducted at designated sites, occasional regional travel may be required to reach individuals in need.
The Candidate:
- Extensive experience in aged care, with a focus on dementia care.
- Background as a Senior Nurse/Lead, Clinical Care Manager, or in specialised dementia roles.
- Proficiency in managing Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) and identifying triggers and unmet needs.
- Additional qualifications or ongoing education in Dementia Care, Gerontology, or Health & Aging highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals living with dementia.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Other Essential Criteria:
- Full/Unrestricted Australian working rights (sponsorship unavailable)
- Full/Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
- Fully vaccinated for COVID19 (minimum 3 doses) + current annual Influenza

This role is offered on a Fixed Term Full-Time Contract until June 2026, with the possibility of extension. All short-listed applicants will undergo a criminal record check and must provide evidence of COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations.
