The Opportunity:

The Role:

As a Dementia Consultant, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving positive change for individuals living with dementia. Utilising your extensive knowledge and expertise, you’ll conduct thorough face-to-face assessments to understand each person’s unique dementia journey and identify factors contributing to behavioural changes.

Your recommendations and interventions will advocate for improved quality of life and ensure responsive care services tailored to individual needs.

While assessments will primarily be conducted at designated sites, occasional regional travel may be required to reach individuals in need.

The Candidate:

  • Relevant qualifications in Allied Health, Nursing, Aged Care or Mental Health essential
  • Experience in Australian residential aged care and or community aged care, with a focus on dementia & involvement with the design of dementia care plans
  • Proficiency in managing Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) and identifying triggers and unmet needs
  • Additional qualifications or ongoing education in Dementia Care, Gerontology, or Health & Aging highly desirable
  • A genuine passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals living with dementia

Other Essential Criteria:

  • Full/Unrestricted Australian working rights (sponsorship unavailable)
  • Full/Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and a willingness to travel
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID19 (minimum 3 doses) + current annual Influenza

Type: Permanent, Full Time role. Normal hours Monday to Friday with no crisis work!
Location: South West Sydney
Salary: SCHADS level 7-8:  $100 – 113K + Super + Salary Packaging (pending experience).

Do you have program management experience and a passion for supporting young people with mental health challenges?  Welfare Recruitment Solutions have been approached by a leading Not For Profit organisation to assist in the recruitment of a Program Manager for their Early Intervention, Youth Mental Health program. This role is available immediately, so don’t hesitate to get in touch today!

Role


The program provides non-clinical, early intervention – mental health support, to children and young people up to the age of 18 years, who are showing signs of, or who are at risk of developing mental illness. Using evidence based therapeutic interventions you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a small team of case workers, as well as ensuring the program is meeting performance and funding KPI’s. You will also have an opportunity to provide advice about the ongoing development of the program, with the aim to improve the mental health outcomes for children and young people

Candidate

 

  • Degree level qualifications in social work, psychology or related field.
  • Experience in program development and implementation.
  • Experience working with young people, ideally in a mental health setting.
  • People management experience in a related role.
  • Experience providing supervision and support to case managers.
