The Role

As the 2IC/Lead Educator your role will involve assisting with day-to-day management tasks, leading a team of educators, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. You will also fosters positive relationships with families, supports staff development, and contributes to a nurturing and inspiring learning environment for children. 
 
Requirements

  • Relevant Diploma level qualifications (would consider someone working todays a Diploma)
  • Working knowledge of the National Quality Framework including: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • WWCC (or willingness to complete)
  • First Aid and Anaphylaxis training (or willingness to complete)

The Role

As part of a family run and operated centre, you will be working as part of a team to provide high quality care for children, as well as being responsible for the day-to-day care, safety and supervision of the children. You will contribute to implementing stimulating, child-based programs & developmentally appropriate programs with other experienced educators.

Welfare Recruitment Solutions have been approached by a leading welfare organisation to assist in the recruitment of an Educational Specialist to joining their residential OOHC program on a permanent part time (0.5) basis for their program in the Lismore region.

Role 
As the successful candidate, you will work with young people in a therapeutic transitional care program to build connections with young people and educational providers. You will develop educational plans aimed at increasing educational participation, reduce absenteeism and education exclusion. You will advocate for the young people to ensure they receive the educational opportunities that they deserve and also develop educational activities for the young people to undertake. 
 
Candidate
In order to be considered for this position you will have the following:

  • Relevant qualifications in the educational field
  • Demonstrated experience in providing educational experiences for young people with multiple complex needs
  • Experience in developing and implementing education programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
  • Driving license and car

In return, you will be offered a salary in the region of $88 – 93K (Pro Rata) + Super + the benefits of salary packaging associated for working with a NFP organisation.
